DBT-TU-JU Breast Thermogram Dataset








The DBT-TU-JU Breast Thermogram dataset has been created in Regional Cancer Centre (RCC), Agartala Government Medical College (AGMC) of Govind Ballav Pant (GBP) Hospital, Agartala, Tripura (W), under the supervision of Dr. Gautam Majumdar, Medical Superintendant and Assistant Professor, RCC, Agartala Government Medical College (AGMC), Govt. of Tripura. The DBT-TU-JU database contains total 1100 thermograms of 100 subjects. Six different views including supine, frontal, left-lateral, right-lateral, left-oblique and right-oblique view of breast area are captured from each subject. For validating the collected thermograms, the clinical findings, X-ray mammography and Fine Needle Aspiration Cytology (FNAC) reports are also collected. Based on the data validation, out of these 100 subjects, 49 are labeled as ‘Abnormal’ and 45 are labeled as ‘Normal’ and the thermograms of remaining 6 subjects are labeled as ‘Unknown’. Besides data validation, the ground truth images of hotspot regions in abnormal breast thermograms are also generated with the help of medical experts.
